Rio Grande Valley

STAR-Rio Grande Valley (STAR-RGV) is located in Raymondville, Texas (in the southernmost part of the state - 50 miles North of Brownsville). We have served the Lower Rio Grande Valley (Willacy, Cameron, Hidalgo & Starr counties) in EPA Region VI and Mexico since 1990. With 110 acres of leveled, irrigated farmland & 50 acres of citrus (Rio Red Grapefruit & Navel/Marrs Oranges) at our disposal, we can conduct efficacy, residue, GMO (transgenic), decline, dislodgeable (SPE extraction), processing, rotational, soil accumulation/dissipation & worker exposure trials on a variety of row, vegetable & specialty crops (click on crops for a complete listing). Efficacy capabilities include product performance testing and GMO (transgenic) testing [on herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, foliar fertilizers & plant growth regulators], multi-species weed/crop screening, variety testing, etc. (see links for breakdown by crop or pest species). We have extensive research & commercial-sized equipment to meet any research project need whether small or large. A sub-tropical environment affords us the flexibility to conduct research virtually year-a-round. We also have the unique capability to conduct Efficacy & Residue trials in Mexico on a wide variety of crops through Estrella-Mexico, a subdivision of STAR-RGV, Inc. Please e-mail any questions or requests to us at fkrupala@star-texas.com .
