STAR High Plains

South Texas Ag Research High Plains Inc. (STAR-HP) is the Northern most member of the STAR family of companies. We serve the High Plains of Texas and Eastern New Mexico in EPA Region VIII. The majority of our trials are conducted on our 130-acre headquarters farm in Hockley County near Levelland, Texas. In addition to our headquarters farm we have an 80-acre drip irrigated farm in Lamb County near Littlefield, Texas and cooperative relationships with several area farmer/cooperators. Since our inception in 1990 we have conducted a wide variety of field trials for many different sponsor and management companies. An extensive array of tractors, planters, maintenance equipment and harvesters have been assembled providing the ability to grow, maintain and harvest a wide variety of crops in compliance with GLP and APHIS standards.

As biotechnology introduces new plant based pharmaceutical and industrial products these will require extensive field evaluation under secure conditions. Our long experience with a variety of sponsors and regulatory agencies positions us to provide a quality product at a fair price to these developing sectors of the agricultural research industry.
